Civic Tech Summit 2018
See you on December, 6
Let's be honest:
in 2018, you can't
make any real
impact without tech.
With robots as citizens, tons of open government data and fingerprints as IDs, tech is the way to foster the breakthrough ideas for public good. We talk about civic tech.

Civic tech projects are built on the synergy between civic society leaders, government, IT talents and business. They aim to tackle the issues we all know so well: from inefficient public services to bad roads and muddy procurement schemes. Civic tech is no beaten track, so there is plenty of place for pioneers, creators and skeptics.

For the first time in CEE, government officials, NGOs, startups and businesses are coming together
to Civic Tech Summit to explore the opportunities and challenges in civic tech.
Civic Tech Summit will discuss
Civic tech startups
Key success and failure stories
Government
Dos and donts in boosting civic tech ecosystem
NGOs
How can NGOs digitalize what they do
Businesses
Why co-lead the changes in the society
Civic Tech Summit is for
Non-governmental organizations, startups, government decision-makers, international organizations, investment funds and media, eager to explore the civic tech landscape of Ukraine and CEE

About the venue
1991 Civic Tech Center is the first civic tech hub in the CEE region. It is a 360 sq. meters community space, which now unites over 50 dedicated civic tech teams and inspires the collaboration between NGOs, IT, businesses and government. Since its opening last year, 1991 Civic Tech Center has held over 100 niche events to benefit the community. Hub was launched thanks to a $480,000 grant from Luminate, the philanthropic investment firm established by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar.
